Goal Setting

We just had our goal setting workshop this week. It’s a great workshop for those who want to achieve success. Success can be defined in many ways. To some it is money, while to others it is contentment, happiness, service to others or a number of other things. The first step in achieving success is to define what success is to you.

Be careful not to use definitions from your parents, friends or society. Know what your idea of success is. I speak to so many people during these workshops that have never set any type of goals. If you have no plan, than that IS your plan. Spend some time thinking about what you want out of life, know that you deserve it, and make a plan to achieve it!

The best way to set goals is to break them up into small achievable steps. Keep it to to a few. Remember to identify any resources or help you will need along the way. Get your support system in place early. Create a realistic schedule and stick with it. One of the most important things to do when working on your goals is to forgive yourself. You may mis-step, slack off and fall behind. That does not affect your ability to achieve your goals. Forgive yourself and get back on track. Now go and grab your dreams!

Check our workshop schedule. Our workshops are always free to the public.
